Yes, true to my word, I bought another one. This time it was a confirmed purchase of the standard version of Maqi. I’m not sure why, but I prefer this one to the secret version. I am just as happy with this doll as I was with Louxue, and they look great together on my bookshelf. I didn’t notice it as much when I initially purchased them, but in addition to the clothes and hairstyles, they are distinctive cat types, also. Luoxue is a short haired calico, while the larger ears and longer fur of Maqi would suggest something like a Maine Coon. Very cute dolls. I also bought one of the supplementary outfits made for this collection, so you can go over to that listing to see Maqi in simpler garb. :)
My blind box turned out to Louxue in the sword dance costume which made me very happy. I like all the figures, but this one in particular was impressive to me because of the long cape and more assertive demeanor of the character. Louxue did arrive with damage to the crown piece, but luckily I am a miniature hobbyist, so I had some super glue on hand and a tiny dab was enough to fix it. This doll is very beautiful, and there a number of details that are worth mentioning: the cat ears aren’t plain plastic, they are flocked and soft to the touch, as is the tail. The costume fabric has a woven pattern, not just printing on top. The tassels on the cloud collar are connected by tiny jump rings instead of sewn directly on, so they do sway and respond to gravity like you would expect instead of hanging stiffly. All in all, a very good purchase and I will likely be buying one or two more. Thank you Kika Goods!

She’s gorgeous! The clothing is so well made. This is a really high quality BJD. The only issue someone may have is the legs. They’re impossible to pose properly. Maybe it was just mine. It doesn’t bother me because she’s going to be displayed with a stand. The stand came with the doll.
She’s absolutely beautiful, and I’m very happy with her. My main complaint is that her headpiece came a little scuffed, and her lingzi snapped at the base from light pressure when attempting to assemble her. I feel like the lingzi could’ve been better designed for structural integrity, considering how frail and thin the plastic is. Overall though, I love this series, and I hope to see more opera inspired dolls!
